Romania vs Bulgaria

Romania vs Bulgaria
Short preview. Being grouped with Albania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Belarus and SloveniaÂ… both Romania and Bulgaria are considered having a good chance to qualify to the finals through the second placeÂ… with Netherlands hotly tipped to top the group. So, to these two Balkan rivals, it will be an all-out-to-win affair. Romania did well in their previous WC qualifiersÂ…

but they failed to go to the finals as they were just a place behind second placed Czech placed. They will have home advantage in this matchÂ… but will have to deal without ParaschivÂ… and Margaritescu was called up to replace him. Meanwhile, Mutu, Chivu and co realized that this tournament could be their very last tournamentÂ… and they will wanna qualify to the finals in style. However, they Romanians will not be having it too easy when they host Bulgaria. Bulgaria will be aiming for a win from this match tooÂ… and with the stars they have in the squad, Berbatov, Petrov, Georgiev, Bojinov and co will not be easy to deal with. However, Todorov is outÂ… but with the fire power that the Bulgarians have, I donÂ’t think he will be missed too much. Meanwhile, it will be the BulgariansÂ’ defense that one should need to worry about. Now, RomaniaÂ’s H2H record against Bulgaria was goodÂ… but recently, it has no been encouraging. Anyway, teams changeÂ… things can be different. While I have to admit that the Bulgarian squad looks really strong in their offenseÂ… their defense is susceptible. As for RomaniaÂ… the team might look oldÂ… but the experience will be thereÂ… and judging from their WC qualifiersÂ… they do deserved a spot in the finals in 2008. It will be a tight matchÂ… but I believe the Romanians will be able to edge out their neighbors for a win in this match. Therefore, Romania at -1/2 AH (equivalent to home win) will be my choice. Good Luck!~!

Pick: Home -1/2 AH
Odds: 1.79
