LONDON, June 14 (AFP) - The odds of Italy pulling off a fourth World Cup victory have lengthened in the wake of their stuttering 1-1 draw with Mexico on Thursday.
The Italians, who scrambled a late equaliser and nearly faced elimination from the tournament, are 9-2 second favourites behind in-form Brazil at 5-2, according to betting giants Ladbrokes.
England and Spain are joint third favourites at 5-1, with three-time winners Germany 9-1. At the other end of the scale Tunisia, expected to be knocked out later Friday, are 7,500-1.
Latest odds: Brazil 5/2, Italy 9/2 , England 5/1, Spain 5/1, Germany 9/1, Portugal 16/1, Sweden 16/1, Denmark 20/1, Senegal 20/1, Turkey 25/1, Japan 33/1, Mexico 33/1, Paraguay 33/1, Ireland 40/1, South Korea 66/1, Russia 80/1, Belgium 100/1, USA 125/1, Tunisia 7500/1
