Re: ENGLAND - Transfer News & Rumors

Feyenoord striker Dirk Kuyt has delivered a snub to Liverpool, declaring he'd prefer a move to Newcastle United.

ord=Math.random()*10000000000000000;document.write ('');"I know quite a bit about Newcastle, they're one of the best supported teams in the Premier League and a typical English club," Kuyt is quoted as saying.
"I would consider a move to Liverpool - they're likely to progress to the Champions League group stages. I would love to play in that competition but my first choice is Newcastle."
And the Dutchman suggested the adoration he would receive at St James's Park had tilted him in that direction.
"I've always wanted to be a hero," he admitted. "I know Feyenoord are asking a massive fee and I don't know if Newcastle are willing to match that."

Re: ENGLAND - Transfer News & Rumors

Manchester United have expressed interest in Inter Milan striker Obafemi Martins.

The Nigeria international is ready to quit the San Siro following the arrival of striker rivals Hernan Crespo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic last week.
Newcastle United have been chasing Martins, however the Evening Chronicle says Manchester United could be interested and the chances of one of the fastest players in Europe coming to St James' Park do not appear to be very good at the moment.
Inter are asking £8 million for Martins, who favours a move to the Premiership.

Re: ENGLAND - Transfer News & Rumors

Tottenham boss Martin Jol is weighing up a move for Ajax fullback Zdenek Grygera.

Jol has been priced out of a move for Wigan Athletic's Pascal Chimbonda and was turned down yesterday by Lucas Neill, the Blackburn Rovers defender. The Times says Spurs are now turning to Grygera, who also has a host of Italian clubs on his trail.

Re: ENGLAND - Transfer News & Rumors

Manchester United are ready to bid for Inter Milan star Adriano.
Inter patron Massimo Moratti admitted yesterday they now must sell after landing Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Hernan Crespo and Patrick Vieira in recent weeks.
"Inter are a club who look ahead, but we also have to keep an eye on our budget," Moratti told the Corriere dello Sport.
"We still have not started the sale transfer phase, but we know it will have to start sooner or later. We certainly can't just buy players.
"Inter will consider all requests very carefully, studying the market and our relationships with the clubs that make those offers."
It's reported United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to offer ?30 million to land 24 year-old Adriano, who despite declaring his commitment to Inter this summer endured a difficult time on-and-off the pitch last season. A representative, meanwhile, insisted this morning: "Adriano wants to stay with Inter."
