Re: ITALY - Transfer News & Rumors
Fiorentina director general Pantaleo Corvino admits Luca Toni wants a move to Inter Milan. But the Viola, who were reinstated to Serie A this week with a 17-point penalty following their appeal in the Italian match-fixing scandal, need all the firepower they can get and do not want to sell. "It's simple: he wants to go to Inter, but for us, he is invaluable," said Corvino."He wants to leave and listen to the offers, especially the one from Inter, but they need to make an offer, which they have not yet done."Corvino accused Inter of trying to unsettle the player and warned them they face a fight for his services."What they are doing now are manoeuvres destined to disturb us," he said."Now, we are at war."Inter are also pursuing Juventus' unsettled striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and are only likely to complete either his or Toni's transfer this summer. With both valued at 25 million euros (£17.1million), it could come down to which club caves in first, although Corvino doesn't expect that to be Fiorentina. He said: "Our owner [Diego Della Valle] wants him to stay here, and we'll just have to see what materialises."

Re: ITALY - Transfer News & Rumors
Pavel Nedved says he'll play out his career at Juventus."I will end my career at Juventus," stated Nedved who is training with the rest of the team in Pinzolo. "It's a choice that also has to do with my personal life, I enjoy living in Turin very much and so does my family."I feel I owe a lot to the team and especially to the Agnelli family. Serie A or B makes no difference, it's always football if you face it with the right attitude."I am sure I can still be useful to the team, although I had considered retiring after the end of World Cup," added the 2003 Golden Ball winner. "But after a week vacation I had already changed my mind."I have a goal, that is to bring Juve back to Serie A as soon as possible, because that is where it deserves to be."When questioned about the Calciopoli verdicts, Nedved answered: "In the end Juve are the only team paying and that isn't fair."The club is now deciding its next steps, but me and my teammates are training as if there were no alternative to playing the next season in Serie B
